First off; this picture isn’t quite what I had in mind when I took it but I am posting it as it is my first photo for the year 
No where to go but up from here haha.
In addition this is my first posted photo using Lightroom. One of my New Years Resolutions is to learn how to use Lightroom. I am a long time Aperture user and Lightroom is quite foreign to me. Though nearly everyone I know on flickr (at least the ones who mention this sort of thing) uses it. I am hoping to get the hang of it soon but I am going to try to ‘force’ myself to stay out of Aperture until I get to know Lightroom well enough to decide which I like better.
Finally this is my first real post for my new project (This Day In History/Holiday) for 2010. Obviously this one is representing New Years Day. If you would like to play along with this project feel free to join the group as well.

if you’re already using Aperture you’ll have no problem using Photomatix hé hé hé :Oo)

You’ll love Lightroom. To get you started, download some presets, there are loads of free ones out there. Try them out, if you like the look of one, see how it was set up by checking out the sliders.
Superb. Good luck with Lightroom, I’ve never used it, I got PS Elements 8 for christmas so my photographic new year resolution is to learn how to use that.
