Not sure what to say....

It has taken me almost three months to figure this out, or more accurately admit it to myself. But, I think my recent absence from the photography scene is about one thing. I don't really know what I want to say with it. My photo a day project for 2009 was a fun -- for the most part -- exercise and I got some shots I am really proud of from it -- along with a lot of stinkers. But to me there was no coherent message, no story, it didn't say anything.

I guess that is where I am at right now. I know I want my photography to say something, to mean something really, but I haven't quite figured out what. I think that is where I am going to focus my energies until I am ready to dive back in; reaching inside to try to figure out what to say and how to say it. Realizing this and saying it 'out loud' feels like a step forward.

I just wanted to post something here to let anyone who was watching know I wasn't gone. I am still thinking about photography. For those of you still with me thanks for sticking around.
