Pardon the dust….

I am still trying to figure out themes, plugins and widgets for the new blog and haven’t settled on much of anything yet. So if you see things that just don’t look right that is probably why. Please feel free to ignore the rough edges for now.

Starting Fresh

kite_post

I am excited to get started, again. As most anyone who will read this post knows, I completed a photo a day project in 2009. In 2010 I haven’t done much with my photography and I think it is, at least in part, due to the lack of structure. So I have decided to start the photo a day project back up again. With a few minor differences this time.

  • I will plan to shoot most days.  If I miss a day I am not going to kick myself or feel bad but the whole point of the project is to shoot more and that means missing a day a lot isn’t a great thing.
  • I will post a photograph every day.   That doesn’t mean it is a good something — but that is the rule.
  • This project isn’t a a 365 or anything.  I plan to do it until I stop.   My hope is that I don’t ever stop.
  • I will begin posting on October 1, 2010.

Also you may be wondering, where have all of the blog posts from the past ?   They are still around, but I decided to start fresh with wordpress.   I could have migrated the old posts into this new blog but doing that would have made me have to take that into consideration when selecting a theme.  A task which is already enough of a hassle without having to think of what image sizes I have already posted and how they will interact with my new theme.    So, that said, if you would still like to visit the old blog you can do so at oldblog.jeffgoldenphoto.com. I won’t be doing any new posts over there and I have turned off comments. It is just an archive. Additionally I plan to remove the main www.jeffgoldenphoto.com site and will consolidate everything here at blog.jeffgoldenphoto.

EDIT: I went ahead and moved the old posts over :) . You can see everything I have ever posted here on this blog.

Brady’s Bubble

Camera Model: Canon EOS 7D
Exposure: 1/200th
Aperture: f/4
Focal Length: 100 mm
ISO: 400

It’s been a long time since I have posted anything and quite a while since I have even picked up the camera. It felt nice to do so tonight for my sister-in-law and brother-in-law’s birthday get together at my in-laws house. This photo is of Brady, their son, reaching for a bubble. I just loved the gesture in the is.
