I shot this for November 22, 2010 Flickr Group “Macro Mondays” theme. The Theme was 7 deadly sins. I am guessing this could go for a few of the sins but my thoughts were on Greed when I decided to go this route.

I decided to play with the toothbrush macro some more. It occured to me my other ones were trying to keep a lot of DOF. I thought it would look neat to use a shallow DOF to make the tips of the bristles appear that they were floating in mid air. Again I have said it before, I’ll say it again. I am easily amused.

Shot for Macro Monday’s Strictly Textures theme though now that I look at it I am not convinced it fits the theme completely.. Clearly it has a texture; just not sure that is the subject of the photo. I haven’t decided if I am going to put it in the group or not. That said I like how it turned out. In case it isn’t obvious this is an extreme closeup of a new tooth brush. I used my 100mm macro lens along with 68mm of extension tubes to get this close. I had my 580exii on ettl mode behind the brush backlighting it.

This is really just a photographic exercise for me. I am not a huge fan or anything; and honestly on any given Sunday I couldn’t tell you if my city’s team won or lost. But I saw this old, and I might add flat, football lying around the house and thought I would try to make something of it for my photo today.

I promise you he would do this all day and all night if I let him … I saw the shadows being cast from the blinds and made him scoot over a bit to use them as a background for this shot. I cross processed this because I liked it a bit better than a neutral color treatment and I used a 580exii camera right to reduce some shadows… i might could have dropped the power a wee bit on it though.

More Cell phone expermients. If the giant light up top hadn’t been there I think this would have turned out much neater. I may try setting up something to tilt the phone at a 20 or 25 degree angle and try again. In any case this is the inside of a vending machine. Put the phone in and closed the door. Silly little experiment but I like it. (haha I guess I am easily entertained…)

This is just a quick little snap I took while waiting in the drive-thru line at McDonalds. I am addicted to playing with my camera phone and this is the result of that addiction. On another note I really should stop eating here. Stupid McRibs….
