Busy Weekend of Photography
Firstly I apologize for my lax posting schedule of late. I have been, and probably will be for a bit, distracted with other things. That said this weekend I have had a busy schedule shooting for My wife’s cousin’s their children.
I also shot some family photos for my wife’s sisters family.

I adore the your photographs of family hands. Brilliant idea, which I’ve stolen to make photos of a colleague, her partner and their bub. I showed her a previous shot you did – yonks back – and she, too like it.

Thanks! Alas, I can’t claim the credit as mine. Some time back there was a “Macro Monday” challenge on flickr for the theme “All of Us”, or something like that. I mentioned it when I was visiting my mother and said I hadn’t come up with an idea yet. She was the one that gave me the idea. We did one for my own family, the one you mention in your comment. That one is hanging on our wall now
. This one of my Sister-in-Law’s family is now printed and I expect will be on their wall soon.
Even though it wasn’t initially my Idea I do really like the concept. It is a unique alternative to a traditional family portrait. I am glad to hear it has inspired you as well.
