We enjoyed our annual family hayride tonight. Unfortunately for me and my photographs we did it before daylight savings time ended. We are normally cruising right at sunset but the sun was a little brighter than I would have liked tonight. That said I don’t dislike this one too much.

This is one from the archive; I chose to post it today because the reason I didn’t shoot something new today is I am busy geeking out playing with Amazon EC2 (cloud based servers) and moving my blog and the rest of my domains over to it.
I am a geek, or at least I like to pretend to be one . And, this stuff is a lot of fun for me. EC2 is about the coolest thing I have played with tech wise in some time See ya all tomorrow.

Watched a liveblog of apple’s announcement today. This is not the new Macbook Air though haha. I know a few of my flickr friends and blog readers are Apple fans as well. I am curious as to your take on it. I am not 100% sure I like where things are going with Lion and the App Store. It seems like we are heading to a future with Apple where everything is modal and iPad like. Don’t get me wrong I love my iPad. I just want my computer to stay a computer and not become a stationary (or in the case of laptops semi-stationary) iPad. I know that developers will continue to have the ability to make regular apps but I wonder if most will migrate to the walled garden app store variety.

Still posting a few from our family outing to a local farm / pumpkin patch. I am finding myself really drawn to these sorts of detail shots for some reason. Though in retrospect I wish I had pulled back a little for this one.
